Job Duties:

The Family Support Worker’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Being available to the family to the clients twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week for emergencies;
• Participating in service planning;
• Providing structured parenting education and child development;
• Problem solving skills and stress management;
• Home management and nutrition;
• Ensure parents are providing medical care for the child(ren);
• Ensure the medical needs of a SEN are met and are in compliance/collaboration with the SENSE team;
• Developing links with community resources to serve a variety of social needs;
• Proper grammar and reporting skills for Court submission;
??????• Effective communication skills; and
??????• Understanding the effects of abused and neglected children and their families.


One of the following education requirements or combination of experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Field including at least two (3) years’ experience in the following areas:
• Social Work;
• Child Welfare;
• Children Youth and Families;
•  At Risk populations;
• Substance abuse; and/or  Behavioral health.
• A high school diploma with at least three (3) years working of child welfare service delivery;
• A paraprofessional with at least five (5) years’ experience in the following areas:
•  Child Welfare;
•  Children Youth and Families;
• At Risk populations;
• Substance abuse; and/or Behavioral health.
• Must be able to clear fingerprinting for Arizona statues;
• Valid AZ driver’s license;
• Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.
